After having splendid time in Nagarjuna Sagar, continued our trip to శ్రీశైలం. Some of the road is not good . Actually most of it is under construction. These godly animals on the way are so beautiful to watch. Visited Srisailam around 6:15 in the evening. Sakshi Ganapathi temple is the first one to visit. It is said that... Our attendance to Srisailam will be recorded at this place. Had "Sparsha Darshanam" of the almighty at 9 PM. All the tiring we had due to hours of ghat road drive is vanished with the holy touch of Lord Shiva. Next day, we are blessed with Abhishekam to Maha Deva and Kumkuma pooja to Bhramaramba ammavaru. So fortunate to have this done on the auspicious day of Durgashtami Every evening, grand procession is organized in the streets of Srisailam during Navrathri days. Absolute pleasure to watch the rally. Fun and being religious is a rare and lucky combination ...
This time we decided to have a road trip. Planning in advance and train/flight bookings are not going well with us. So, made only hotel bookings that too with easy cancellation options. We can't trust our fickle mind 😀 Started at 6:15 AM on a Wednesday. Going to BZA is always refreshing. Had our breakfast at 7 food court. "At 7 - on the way to heaven(VJA)" Smooth ride... Stopped at ibrahimpatnam circle to have చెక్కరకేళీ milk shake. Very yummy 😋 Swarna palace hotel is reasonably good for our short stay. Lots of childhood memories around that place. My walk to school and visiting Hanuman temple on my way. Had real Telugu slumptous lunch at Ramaiah mess. Took rest for couple of hours and got ready for the darshan of Kanaka Durga Ammavaru. Considering Dasara rush, left cell phones at room and went by Auto. Had to walk for long. That's expected during festival days. Blessed and nostalgic feeling kept us active. Next day, visited my pedhamma's home at Satyannarayana...
Started at 8 AM on Saturday ( 1st Oct) to Nagarjuna Sagar trip. Visited Budha Vanam on the way. It's nice place.. but cannot spend more than 1 hour over there. Can be maintained better. Joined with my Co-brother's family in Sagar, Haritha Resorts. Haritha resorts in Sagar is decent. Expensive on Weekends and reasonably priced on week days. Maintenance can be lot better. But, being state government managed resorts - can't expect more. Location is excellent.. Stay is on the banks of Krishna river with wonderful view. Park, Swimming pool and restaurant available. Had lunch and went for boat ride to Nagarjuna Konda. Last trip is at 1:30 PM. Bit crowded like any other sightseeing place in India :-) Boat ride ends at 5:15 PM. Cool breeze over vast water body is n ice refreshing experience. Kids enjoyed thoroughly. Day ended with dinner at the resort restaurant. Day 2 Our plan was to go to Srisailam from Nagarjuna Sagar. On the way, we visited Sagar dam and Ethipot...
